School News Network (contributed by the School of Marxism)On April 9, the "Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" course "UIBE New Thought Lecture Hall" was held in Ningyuan Building 828. This lecture was taught by Professor Chen Xulong, a special professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of International Relations.
Professor Chen Xulong first analyzes the core essence and guiding significance of Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought. He pointed out that Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought, as the fundamental guideline of major power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, contains the world view and methodology of how China views the external world and how to deal with the external world.
Professor Chen Xulong deeply analyzed the core essence of Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought, namely "ten persistences", and explained the main content of the "ten persistences" in an easy-to-understand manner. It includes both a grand design based on the world and a concrete measure of truth-seeking and pragmatic, which is a profound theoretical and practical basis for building a major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. In order to better make students "enter the mind and heart", Professor Chen Xulong carefully extracted the "cross formula" that is easy to remember from the "Ten Persistences", which impressed the students.
Professor Chen Xulong reviewed the formation process of Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought, including its leading role in major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, and the rich development of China's diplomatic concepts since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, especially incorporating "win-win" and "community of shared future for mankind". He analyzed the important platform role of the "Belt and Road" in building a community with a shared future for mankind, and emphasized the great significance of China's strategic confidence and unswerving adherence to the path of peaceful development.
When talking about a community with a shared future for mankind, Professor Chen Xulong emphasized that the global governance concept of consultation, joint construction and sharing is the path to realize the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
