About 1,000 people including overseas Chinese traveling in Russia, Chinese-funded institutions, Confucius Institutes, international students, representatives of the central media in Russia, and diplomats in the embassy celebrated the New Year.

Our Embassy in Russia commends the collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to promoting practical cooperation between China and Russia, deepening cultural exchanges, and gathering overseas Chinese's hearts and wisdom. Zhang Rui, Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute of the Russian National Humanities w88, won the award again after winning the title of "Advanced Individual in Promoting China-Russia Cultural Exchange" in 2024.

Director Zhang Rui has been the Chinese President of Confucius Institute of the Russian National Humanities w88 in July 2018, and has worked closely with Russian President Professor Yi Fucheng to devote himself to the development of the Confucius Institute's cause. In recent years, the institute has adhered to the concept of openness, cooperation and win-win, carried out high-quality Chinese teaching and cultural activities, achieved remarkable results, won a good social reputation in Russia, and has become one of the best Confucius Institutes in Russia and even the world.
