Xu Xun, director of the Digital Economy and Law Research Center of the University of International Business and Economics, released the "2024 User Cognitive Research Report on Algorithms and AI Big Models" co-written by the center, the Digital Economy Research Center of Renmin University of China and the Ant Group Research Institute at the forum.

The report points out that although consumers' understanding and use of AI models has not yet been popularized, the practicality of AI models in learning and work scenarios has been widely recognized. Consumers have a positive attitude towards AI models, and more than half of the respondents believe that AI models represent progress, innovation, efficiency and convenience.

Report shows that consumers' perception of algorithms has changed significantly compared with 2022. In terms of algorithm transparency, consumers' awareness of algorithms has significantly improved, and their acceptance of algorithm recommendations based on personal information labels has increased significantly.

The release of the "2024 User Cognition Survey Report on Algorithms and AI Big Models" provides a user perspective for the governance of algorithms and AI big model, demonstrating the past three years with the implementation of national laws and regulations, enterprises have actively implemented regulatory requirements, and the algorithm application ecosystem is increasingly standardized, thus providing a solid empirical basis for the future legislation and law enforcement of algorithms and AI big models.
