Professor Ge Tieying was selected as the "Senior Translator" of the Chinese w88 mobile

Professor Ge Tieying from the Arabic Department of our school was selected as a "senior translator".

In order to inspire domestic and foreign translators and international communication experts to devote themselves to telling Chinese stories and prospering the cause of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, the China w88 mobile has carried out selection activities such as the "Lifetime Achievement Award for Translation Culture", "Senior Translator", and "Translation Chinese Foreign Translator". Among them, the honorary title of "Senior Translator" was established in 2001 to commend the older generation of translators who have made important contributions to promoting the development of my country's translation industry and promoting Sino-foreign exchanges and have made outstanding achievements in various translation fields. To date, more than 3,000 translators have won this honor.

Professor Ge Tieying has been deeply engaged in the w88 mobile, research and teaching of Arabic literature for many years. Teachers of the Arabic Department of the School of Foreign Languages ​​have long been committed to translation practice and research. In recent years, they have produced high-quality translations such as "Biography of Silly Man", "The Age of Poetry - Adonis on Poetry Aesthetics", and "Oasis of Sunset". They have won important awards such as the "Sheikh Hamad International Translation and Understanding Award" in Qatar. Many teachers have served as members of the Arabic Expert Committee of the China w88 mobile and the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination. At the same time, Arabic teachers actively participated in translation teaching and guided students to win many awards in the Han Suyin International Translation Competition, the Aeon Cup National Multilingual Interpretation Competition, and That’s Arab Online Novel Translation Competition.
