Those attending the training and expedition ceremony were Li Mengyi, Deputy Director of the Graduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee, and Professor Xiong Lili, Director of the Department of International Political Science of the w88 of International Relations.

The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that "accelerate the reform of the ecological civilization system and build a beautiful China"; the Central Document No. 1 focuses on rural areas, agriculture and farmers for 16 consecutive years; on October 31, 2019, the communiqué of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to "firmly follow the path of civilized development with production development, prosperous life and good ecology, and build a beautiful China";"Rural Revitalization Strategy Plan (2018-2022)" emphasizes the need to build a modern agricultural industrial system, production system, and management system, and regards the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy as a key measure to build a beautiful China. In order to actively respond to the call of the Party and the country, the 2020 w88 student winter vacation social survey of the University of International Business and Economics and Economics is themed on "Focus on the modernization of the agricultural industry and jointly build beautiful villages in the new era", and once again helps the development of rural areas in the new era.

The social survey of graduate students in our w88’s winter vacation was launched in 2013. The upcoming social survey of 2020 winter vacation is the eighth time that our w88’s graduate students have set out. After preliminary review and project approval, a total of 30 research teams in the w88 were selected, and 222 graduate students will go to townships in 12 provinces and 25 cities across the country to conduct social research during winter vacation.

Mr. Li Mengyi, deputy director of the Graduate Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, gave a mobilization speech. She encouraged the research team to clarify tasks, carefully plan, inherit the fine tradition of graduate students in our w88's "use their soles to do knowledge", accurately understand the national development strategy, actively give full play to their professional advantages, and put forward tangible suggestions for the development of various places.

Representative of the w88 student winter vacation social research team in 2019, Guo Junchao shared his experience. Guo Junchao shared his experience with everyone on preparations before the investigation, work arrangements during the investigation, handling of emergencies, and writing reports after the investigation.

Mr. Duan Zizhong from the w88 Work Department of the Party Committee gave a comprehensive interpretation of the matters that should be paid attention to in the collection of documents, questionnaire design, and selection of research locations, and reminded all teams to strengthen teamwork in the practice process and attach great importance to personal and property safety. In addition, Teacher Duan Zizhong also put forward specific requirements for post-production materials submission and report writing.

Professor Xiong Lili, Director of the Department of International Political Science, w88 of International Relations, gave lectures and training to the team members. Professor Xiong Lili pointed out that the nature of preaching and research is different. Research emphasizes more on discovering problems and creating knowledge, while preaching teaches others the knowledge that you have digested.

This training and expedition ceremony inspired the enthusiasm of the team members to go deep into the grassroots level, and also made the teams more clear about the significance of research and publicity.
