School w88 Network (Party Committee Propaganda Department Reporter Jingxuan)On December 27, the People's Daily 2024 Presidents' Forum with the theme of "Promoting the Integrated Development of Educational and Science and Technology Talents and Accelerating the Construction of an Education Powerful Country" was held in the "Original Intentional Auditorium" of the People's Daily New Media Building. Huang Baoyin, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, and Zhang Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, were invited to attend the forum. Secretary Huang Baoyin served as a guest host of the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

The w88 Presidents Forum hosted by People's Daily has been successfully held for 11 sessions, with a total of more than 600 w88 secretaries and presidents participating in the seminar, forming a wide-ranging influence in universities across the country, becoming an annual event to build consensus and help China's higher education reform and development. At this forum, Xu Lijing, deputy editor-in-chief of People's Daily, Gao Bin, deputy director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and Li Nan, vice president and secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, attended and delivered speeches.

Forum 1 was held with the theme of "Focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, deepening the comprehensive reform of higher education". Secretary Huang Baoyin made a keynote speech on deepening the comprehensive reform of the school. Secretary Huang Baoyin pointed out,First, deepen the comprehensive reform within the school around the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people. The fundamental task of colleges and universities is to cultivate morality and people, cultivate socialist builders and successors who are comprehensively developed in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, and cultivate new people of the times who are capable of serving as the important task of national rejuvenation.The second is to deepen the internal comprehensive reform of schools closely around high-level education opening. High-level openness of education is a distinctive feature of educational modernization.The third is to deepen the internal comprehensive reform of schools in improving internal governance capabilities. First-class universities are an important manifestation of the country's comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness, and an important symbol of a strong education country.
